Smoked Mature Cheddar, Beef and Pork Burgers
Gorgeous, flavoursome burgers that have little need for any added condiments!
350g (~12oz) Pork and Beef Mince (half and half)
Half an onion, grated
3oz (85g) grated mature cheddar
1teaspoon mustard powder
2 tablespoons of HP woodsmoke BBQ sauce
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1. In a large bowl, add mince, cheese, onion and mustard. Mix together using your hands (Use gloves if possible, otherwise ensure hands are cut free and very clean!)
2. Add the BBQ sauce and mix well again.
3. Divide the mixture into 4 and shape into rounds. Flatten to make 3/4 inch deep burgers and place on a deep sided baking tray or on a grill pan.
4. Coat the burgers, top and sides, using half a tablespoon of oil on each.
5. Cook in the middle of a preheated oven (200 C(180 Fan oven)) for 25-30 minutes.
Serve in a bread bun. Enjoy!
